JCSD SUPERINTENDENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Governor Hutchinson made an announcement that Arkansas public schools will be closed beginning Tuesday, March 17th. Districts have the option to open tomorrow Monday, March 16. JCSD will be open tomorrow but will dismiss early and run buses at 2:00 Monday afternoon starting with elementary loading at 1:50. We believe this will allow our teachers to make more relevant AMI assignments and give parents time to find alternative child care. We will update everyone as soon as more information is available.
UPDATE ON NECC STUDENTS ATTENDING JCSD: Since our previous announcement, we have been in contact with the LDOE regarding continuing school at Junction City school district. Students who are NOT RELIANT on school transportation may have parents transport them to JCSD for classes. For students who are transported by the Northeast Claiborne Charter School bus, an alternative method of instruction is being developed. More information regarding alternative method of instruction will be released on Monday, March 16.
URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MRS. CARY, NECC DIRECTOR: Per Louisiana governor, John Bel Edwards' announcement, Northeast Claiborne Charter School students will not be attending school beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. Students will be contacted Monday, March 16 on how to proceed with going forward. Junction City School District students will be in class as scheduled.
